MPAA Suing Bit Torrent Websites

Thursday, December 30th, 2004

I went to slashdot this early morning to notice the next suit in the many attacks that the MPAA is posing against Bit Torrent. Lokitorrent.com has been sued by the MPAA for copyright infridgement for hosting and tracking bit torrent files. A good note to everyone, Loki torrent is fighting the MPAA!
The MPAA needs [...]

Grad School

Tuesday, December 28th, 2004

I finally got my last grade today. My “Professor” sent out an email with our grades this morning. He’s really a graduate student but the prof who taught the course for the past 17 years retired. Benson wasn’t given access to post grades on wolverine access and it took a bit longer. I was afraid [...]

Disorderly Conduct

Tuesday, December 28th, 2004

I left Chie and Noa at 12:30am, got on the subway and arrived at Grand Central about 45 minutes before the next train was scheduled to leave. I settled myself down in a cozy corner, hung out until the train arrived. When it finally did pull into Grand Central I got up with the rest [...]

Santa Badger

Thursday, December 23rd, 2004

So apparantly the reason that Mr. Weebl hasn’t updated his cartoons in a while was because he was doing a bunch of ads (calendars) for Samsung. One of the ads was the Badger Badger Badger but redone with “Santa Santa Santa.” (Click there for the link to it).

Epic 2004

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2004

I found an interesting post on Slashdot called “Epic 2004″. It makes predictions on the course of Microsoft and Google:

Google merges with Tivo
Microsoft merges with friendster
Google merges with Amazing, creating “Googlezon”

Google and Microsoft begin creating a news service that is completly controlled by computers. Content from Microsoft and Google are customized for each user [...]

Our New Doggy

Sunday, December 19th, 2004

So my parents finally gave in and bought Ben, my little almost 12 year old, a dog last night. Our new (and first) pet is a small Cavachon puppy, a mixed breed between a King Charles Cavalier and a Bachon. Ben named the dog “Dash.” Pictured below is a picture of him. I’m still trying [...]

So Cold!

This makes me happy:

This makes me sad and really really bitter:

Solution: Move to California!

Finals Suck

Friday, December 17th, 2004

So I’ve spent the past several days working on my EECS 452 (Digital Signal Processing Design Lab) project. Grace, Paul, Pete, Adam and I were designing a Voice-Operated TV Remote Control (which we called VOCK - “Don’t VOCK with us” was our slogan). Anyways, everything seemed to be coming along all nice and well until [...]

Computer Siren

Friday, December 17th, 2004

If you didn’t know my computer died last week or two ago. My boss at Westport Resources was kind enough to buy me a new cpu, motherboard and ram (because I think that’s what died). I owe him 8 hours of work for it. Anyways, I finally got to FedEx and picked up the parts [...]

HKN, etc

Sunday, December 12th, 2004

So yesterday was HKN initiations, election and banquet. For those of you who don’t know, HKN (Eta Kappa Nu) is the Electrical Engineering Computer Science (EECS) Honor Society here at Michigan. Surprisingly the initiations went very quickly and we had a while to kill before elections. I have wanted to be President for 3 semesters [...]
